Is anybody doing anything for the new year? Any new year's resolutions? I am about to be forced on a diet by my own parents. Has anybody done any fireworks? I'm going to a dance. I hope I have fun! What were y'all's experiences like at dances?

i wasn't a normal youth. i hated them, but that was probably b/c of my first dance. it was the new year's dance...haha. i got all dressed up (like i was going to the prom) thinking it was a formal dance. and when i got there, everyone else was in their normal sunday dress--thanks for the memo. not to mention, i had just gotten over a stomach virus, and i was VERY weak. i started to feel bad again about halfway in, and called my dad to come get me. not to mention, i didn't know ANYBODY there except for another young woman from my ward with whom i rode. and she ditched me as soon as we got there. i didn't give up on dances though, i started going again after i had made some friends and had a much better time!
