What is Thanksgiving? What does it mean to you?
Well Wikipedia says it's "a traditional North American holiday to give thanks at the conclusion of the harvest season. Thanksgiving is celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November in the United States and on the second Monday of October in Canada."
Very cut and dry, but what is it really?
Right now to me, it means when I have to have finished a colossal project that is due right after that weekend. For Mom it means other school assignments.

School seems to kick it up into high gear after Thanksgiving. Happily for me, I am no longer in school. Ha ha. So it means lots of delicious roast veggies and beautiful leaves and family.
I always appreciated teachers who made the assignments due BEFORE thanksgiving. I would still procrastinate, but then I'd be done with them and get to enjoy the holiday more. I don't have homework these days, but I did end up working on Thanksgiving, so that might be similar.
Steve and I were discussing how Turkey got instituted as the meat of choice for Thanksgiving since the original pilgrims probably actually aid more fish and lobster and corn...
